Yes. Masonry and stonework is a core service — retaining walls, stone walls, patios, walkways, driveways, pavers, and cement repair throughout Westchester and Putnam. We build new structures and restore existing ones. Recent projects include flagstone patios, outdoor stone fireplaces, and full outdoor kitchens.

Often, yes — and it depends on your town rather than the county. Most Westchester and Putnam municipalities require a permit for retaining walls above a certain height (commonly four feet, which may also need an engineer's drawing), and many require one for patios depending on size, drainage, and how close the work sits to a property line or wetland buffer. We'll tell you what your project needs before we start.

Most residential patios and walkways take about one to two weeks from excavation to finished surface, depending on size, access, and how much grading or drainage work the site needs. Base preparation is the slowest and most important stage — a properly compacted base is what keeps pavers from shifting and settling through freeze-thaw cycles.

Yes. We repair and restore existing masonry as well as building new — resetting shifted pavers, repointing stone walls, patching cracked concrete, and rebuilding settled steps. Freeze-thaw cycles are hard on masonry in this climate, and a lot of what looks like a replacement job is actually repairable. We'll give you an honest assessment.
