A single bedroom is a very different job from an open two-story stairwell. We'll price your specific rooms during a free in-home estimate.

No — we handle it. Our crew moves and centers furniture, covers everything with drop cloths, and protects floors before any painting starts. We ask that you remove small valuables, personal items, and wall hangings you'd rather handle yourself. Everything goes back where it belongs when we're finished.

No. Many of our clients give us access and go about their week — some have trusted us with their keys for twenty years. If you'd prefer to be there for color decisions or walkthroughs, that's fine too. We'll agree on access arrangements before the first day.

A single room typically takes one to two days including prep and two coats. A full interior on a three-bedroom home usually runs about one to two weeks depending on ceiling heights, trim work, and how much drywall repair or wallpaper removal is needed first. Your estimate will include a room-by-room timeline.

Two finish coats is our standard, over primer where the surface needs it. Some situations need more — deep color changes, covering stains, or painting over bare or patched surfaces. We don't count primer as a coat, and we won't quote a one-coat job to win a bid on price.

Yes. We patch nail holes, repair drywall damage, fix cracked plaster, replace damaged trim, and address mildew before painting. We also handle wallpaper removal. Painting over a bad surface just makes the problem shinier — the repair work is part of doing the job right, and it'll be itemized in your estimate.

Yes. Cabinet repainting and refinishing is one of our interior specialties, and it costs a fraction of replacing cabinets while completely changing a kitchen. The work involves thorough degreasing, sanding, priming, and a durable finish coat built to handle daily kitchen use. We also repair and repaint furniture and fixtures.

If your cabinet boxes are structurally sound and you mainly want a new look, painting is the most affordable and least disruptive option — it changes the color and finish while keeping everything in place. Refacing keeps the boxes but installs new doors, drawer fronts, and veneer for a like-new look, and makes sense when the boxes are solid but the doors are dated or worn. Full replacement is the biggest investment and the most disruptive, and it's really only worth it when cabinets are water-damaged or delaminating, or when you want to change the layout. A lot of the '90s and early-2000s kitchens we see across Westchester and Putnam have solid boxes that only look dated — good candidates for painting before spending on replacement.

Yes, on request. Low-VOC and zero-VOC paints are widely available now in quality finishes, and they're a good choice for bedrooms, nurseries, and anyone sensitive to fumes. Let us know at the estimate and we'll spec accordingly.
