Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do custom carpentry?
Yes. Our carpentry work covers custom framing, staircases, trim, cabinetry, porticos, crown molding, wainscoting, and built-ins. It's finish carpentry, done by people who've been doing it locally for 25 years.
Can you match existing trim and molding in an older home?
Yes. Matching original profiles is routine work for us on older Westchester and Putnam homes — we'll replicate existing crown, casing, baseboard, and rail profiles so repairs and additions don't read as patches. Where a stock profile won't match, custom milling is an option. Bring us a sample piece and we'll tell you what's achievable.
Can you repair rotted exterior trim and woodwork?
Yes. Rotted fascia, soffit, window casing, corner boards, and porch columns are common on older homes here, and painting over rot only hides it for a season. We cut out the damaged sections, replace them with new or rot-resistant material, and prime and paint to match — usually as part of an exterior painting project.
